I had the amazing opportunity to student teach tenth grade civics and eleventh grade world history. I also got to co-teach her AP Government class from time to time. That was a whole new experience as I got to interact with high-motivated kids who kept me on my toes.

In the picture to the right, I am leading a simulation about how a bill becomes a law.

To help with a lesson on the importance of propaganda in World War I, I drew this graphic.

As a student teacher, I took full advantage of being in a very active school. I participated in as much as I could. In school I took part in things like:

  • Every single spirit day

  • Charity Week

  • Professional Development

  • IB Training

  • Co-Teacher Training

  • SAT and PSAT testing

  • IEP meetings

  • Assemblies and Special Olympics Games

  • Observations of other teachers

  • Vietnam Veterans Interviews

  • In-School Staff activities

  • 2018 Mock Elections

  • Yearbook and Leadership Interviews

  • School-Wide Valentines Day Cards from staff to students
